Church Ministries

“Great is Thy faithfulness, ” O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

“Great is Thy faithfulness! ” “ Great is Thy faithfulness! ”
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided-
“ Great is Thy faithfulness, ” Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Your love O Lord reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies,

Psalm 36:5

Faithfull

Not for a long time has it been as challenging to be faithful to God and His Word in this country. Other generations however have been tested and remained steadfast in their faith, we must do likewise. Paul encourages the believers at Corinth to stand firm, to give themselves fully to the work of the Lord because our labour in the Lord is not vain. In these demanding days let us always remember that God is in still in control and is interested in our well being, it is therefore vital for us to be praying fervently for his help and strength to sustain us. News

Last month we had a thanksgiving service for Ella McAlpine who went to be with the Lord. Only a matter of months after David passed away. Ella who was 95 years old had been member at Bethany and previously Wellmeadow for many years. Marked by her care love and interest of people of all age groups, she was able to maintain a keen interest in the affairs of the assembly even although unable to attend regularly in recent years. Her gift of listening and words of wisdom were appreciated and a blessing to many. Please pray for the family and friends who mourn at this time.

Please continue to pray for Jean Lochhead, Ena Dickson, Hugh and Wilmar Wallace who are unable to attend the services at this time.

There will be reports of the Lord's work this month by Brian Lowrie and Gordon McCracken. Come along and be encouraged.

Missionary

GLO Renfrew; ask for prayer for Ben's health, there has been a slight improvement recently, hopefully this will continue. Pray also for the contacts that were made during the summer mission week.

GLO Johnstone; ask for prayer for the Church weekend 5th-7th October, at Faskally House with Colin McPhie being the speaker. Some of our own young people were invited along having been involved in the summer mission.

If you subscribe to Echoes of Service Magazine it is time for renewal, this is a good time for others to order a monthly copy, a worthwhile investment indeed.

But the Lord is faithful
