Here comes the summer
Well hopefully after some false starts we can now enjoy some summer like weather and look forward to a time of rest. If you are going away somewhere or even staying at home it is good to do some reading, it is still a popular holiday activity. Our local Christian retailers have an abundance of material that will meet every need. Take time then to read and you will be uplifted in your faith, it is certainly a worthwhile use of time, so take the opportunity over the summer months to do some reading.

Camp Correspondent
Two camp events were held in June, an evening at Lapwing Lodge and the camp coffee night with both being a success, of attendance around 50 for each event. Camp 2011 finally begins this month on Monday the 18th of July with the Camp returning to Whittaugh Park in the Scottish borders. There are many items of prayer including transport, weather, safety, leaders and campers and most importantly the message spoken by Alistair Young at the services

Mission Focus
The focus last month featured a visit and report by Daniel Ross from Grenada, a friend of Frank McKinnon, who was on a short visit to the UK. His contributions on Sunday morning opening the Breaking of Bread service and on the Tuesday evening at the Mission Focus were greatly appreciated. It was encouraging to hear that Daniel had the opportunity to preach at Maryhill at an outreach for people with addictions when two people were saved. Please pray for Daniel and his family in Grenada that God will continue to bless his ministry.
It was also good to have a visit from Alan and Anne Kitt once again and to hear a report from Alan on their work for the Lord in France and their return to the North of the country.
Alan and Anne would like to keep in regular contact with us of what they are doing in France and we look forward to some prayer news.
Sunday school
The Prizegiving service for the Sunday school children was appreciated by all who attended. The look back over the session and the message from Tommy Watson was encouraging as we observed the development and progress of the children in learning the scriptures, as well as their eagerness to take part. Please pray for the Summer Sunday school for both children and leaders.
