What's on

Church Ministries

How lovely is Your dwelling place, Oh Lord Almighty
My soul longs and even faints for You
For here my heart is satisfied, within Your presence
I sing beneath the shadow of Your wings

Better is one day in Your courts
Better is one day in Your house
Better is one day in Your courts
Than thousands elsewhere

One thing I ask, and I would seek, to see Your beauty,
To find You in the place Your glory dwells
My heart and flesh cry out,
For You the living God
Your Spirit's water for my soul
I've tasted and I've seen,
Come once again to me.
I will draw near to You.
I will draw near to You.

Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere

Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise

Holiday

Most people look forward to having a holiday even if it is only a break from the normal routine rather that going somewhere nice either locally or another country. Hopefully this proves to be a blessing and helps us to come back refreshed and ready to get back into our routine. It is especially good if we can have the fellowship of other believers during this time that can prove to be a time of encouragement and blessing. If you are able to have a break at this time of year may it be a time of blessing from God for you.

Sunday School

The Prizegiving service for the Sunday school children was enjoyed by all and it was good to have some of the parents of the children coming along. The look back over the session was encouraging as we observed the development and understanding of the children in learning the scriptures, as well as their eagerness to take part.

We were grateful for Iain Dunn to come along as our guest speaker. Thank you to all who helped make the event a special time for everyone involved.

Pray for the Summer Sunday school when the children will learn about the suffering church who endures persecution for their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Pray for the Summer Camp 19th - 23rd July 2010

Summer Camp

The Camp Coffee Night on the 18th of June at Johnstone was well attended by campers, leaders and parents. The camp this year will be a return visit to Whittaugh Park in the borders from the 19th to 23rd July. There will be around 100 campers and leaders at this year's camp that will enjoy the facilities at the centre and listen once again to Ian Cunningham. Please pray for suitable weather and that God will bless the camp.

Mission Focus

The focus last month featured a DVD entitled “On the shoulders of Giants”. It is a six country tour of Europe by Todd Friel introducing the great reformers who are our Christian ancestors. They were people such as William Tyndale, John Wycliffe, Martin Luther, George Whitfield and John Knox. It was good to learn about our Christian heritage. The second instalment will be at the next mission focus.

News

Once again there will be joint services on a Sunday evening during the summer with the friends from Kilnside Evangelical Church and Albert Hall, Renfrew. The first service will be held at Renfrew on the 4th July with full details on page four of the update. Please come along to enjoy the Bible teaching and fellowship.
