From the squalor of a borrowed stable,
By the spirit and a virgin's faith;
To the anguish and the shame of scandal
Came the Saviour of the human race!
But the skies were filled, with the praise of heav'n,
Shepherds listen as the angels tell
Of the Gift of God, come down to man
At the dawning of Immanuel
Now He's standing in the place of honour,
Crowned with glory on the highest throne,
Interceding for His own beloved
Till His Father calls us to bring them home!
Then the skies will part, as the trumpet sounds
Hope of heaven or the fear of hell;
But the Bride will run, to her Lover's arms,
Giving glory to Immanuel!

God's Plan is Trustworthy
You will be very much aware of the great concern in our country and indeed across the world of what will take place in the future. The downturn we are experiencing that means increased costs for many is not a happy time for the nations. How appropriate it is then to proclaim the good news of the birth of the Saviour of the World. To proclaim that true peace and a sure hope found in Him. Knowing the Lord Jesus Christ does not mean problems evaporate but it does bring a different perspective and outlook for our lives. May all at Bethany have a blessed Christmas this year and our outreach make an impact in our community.

Christmas
This December once again there will be many events held at Bethany, with all the Church activities organizing the regular Christmas events. There will also be the Christmas Family Service this year on Sunday 18th December with Tommy Watson bringing the message, hopefully the weather will be favourable and Tommy and Betty will not be snowed in at home and unable to travel as happened last year. Please pray for those the invited friends and family coming to some of these events, many of whom don't attend a church service during the year. There will be parties for the children of Incy Wincy's, Fusion, Sunday school as well as the young people of the Buds. There will a meal in the Bethany Centre for the Growing Christians and there will also be a Camp club in January.
